Short Story: The Genesis

A Passage from the Archives Titled: The Genesis
thirst bursting with thought the man stumbles and falls at the water's edge.   granted before him is a true gift of nature. a thunderous waterfall.   its infinite streams of rapid water illuminate against the dark moss and overgrown shrubs from which it emerges.  scaling up its foundation is an abstract of rocks.  a paradigm structure of effortless flow.

the man.  exhausted and thirsting. takes to his hollow canister.  holding it above his head with imploring hands.  the water flows through its opening at a thunderous speed. but to the mans surprise it dissolves through existence.
fascinated. he finds the strength to rise to his feet. the man notices that not a single droplet had been caught amidst the waters embrace. his confusion attracts the surrounding mist which begins to whisper into his soul.  transcending through his mind its voice guides the man into the outpour of water.

standing in the waters of thought. the man becomes overwhelmed with a wave of internal understanding. reaching an understanding to the fountain's radiant and mystical presence  the water.  representing a mirage of the material world. becomes the embodiment of infinite possibilities.  its continuous flow illustrated through the droplets of opportunities that soak into existence.  although the waters permeable nature slips through his physical grasp.  its ethereal presence empowers him from within.
immersed deep in its core.  the man has uncovered his internal fountain of thought and subsequently discovered the flowing streams within reach of his ardent clench to define his own existence.
